KENAF LIME IS THE FUTURE

Kenaf Lime is not a new construction material but it is recently gaining a lot of popularity especially in Europe and the USA because it is a perfect match for the demands of a modern and well educated customer. Kenaf Lime buildings are the among the best places to live and work within because of the comfortably balanced room climate and clean air the material provides. It has outstanding characteristics as a construction material but it is also waste-free and CO2 negative, meaning that a house build with Kenaf Lime takes more CO2 emissions from the atmosphere than it releases into the atmosphere. The afforbability of regionally produced Kenaf Lime is just the icing on the cake.

Specific properties of Kenaf Lime:

  • Regulates humidity automatically

  • Regulates temperature automatically

  • Airtight but breathable- Fireproof

  • High thermal insulation and thermal mass

  • Creates a seamless wall

  • Great acoustic insulation and absorption

  • Mold & pest resistant

  • Anti-bacterial & anti-fungal

  • Filters odors and toxins out of the air

  • Gets stronger over time

  • Maintenance free

  • Can satisfy the toughest energy-efficiency certification requirements

  • 1t of harvested Kenaf absorbed >1,5t of CO2 from the atmosphere, Kenaf has the record and exceeds the CO2 sequestration of a dense forest on the same area by several times

  • 100% organic, natural, vegan, fair-traded and even CO2-negative material that produces no waste nor during production nor after its lifetime

KENAF LIME IS THE ANSWER

To problems with condensation and black mold on the inner walls

To rising energy costs

To having a carbon neutral lifestyle effortlessly

At EcoBauli we are proud to have our own production and supply of raw material. This is how we achieve constant, homogenuous quality and low prices. And we are doing a lot more to achieve high quality at reasonable costs. EcoBauli invests a lot into professional training, development of industry certifications, research & development.

DESIGN & PLANNING

EcoBauli can deliver a complete Kenaf Lime construction from idea generation to a ready and commissioned construction project or take care of the Kenaf Lime construction part only, as you prefer.
When you have a construction project that you want to build with EcoBauli's materials or methods, EcoBauli can name reliable partners for design and planning or you provide your existing construction plan and EcoBauli will adapt it as required for building with a particular Kenaf Lime construction method. The construction works involving EcoBauli construction materials will be performed by trained EcoBauli staff. We can source skilled eperts for all other parts of your construction project as well to make sure that everything works hand in hand and according to the project schedule. EcoBauli does currently not sell its construction materials separately without EcoBauli construction service. We will do so once EcoBauli will have certified enough skilled professionals that know how to use our materials in a way that satisfies customers and meets EcoBauli quality standards.

ECOBAULI CONSTRUCTION METHODS

EcoBauli uses three different methods for constructing with Kenaf Lime. The methods provide flexibility in order to match the requirements of different kinds of construction projects and customer needs.

IN-SITU CASTING AROUND AN EXISTING LOAD-BEARING CONSTRUCTION

This method creates a seamless, monolithic wall fabric and is possible with any type of load-bearing structure. In-situ casting of Kenaf Lime is done at the construction site by attaching height-adjustable formworks on the inner and outer side of a wall into which the freshly mixed Kenaf Lime is poured and compressed with a hand tamper. The wall has to dry for several weeks before the next working steps. The load-bearing structure usually consists of concrete, wood, bamboo or metal.

IN-SITU CASTING A WALL THAT SERVES AS FORMWORK FOR CONCRETE COLUMNS

If the load-bearing structure is planned using reinforced concrete columns it is possible to cast a Kenaf Lime wall in a first step. This wall can be casted with voids that serve as formwork for pouring the concrete columns and ceiling belt in the second step after installing the rebar in the voids. This method has been developed to speed up the construction process for concrete.

PRE-FABRICATED WALL PANELS COMBINING KENAF LIME WITH A STRUCTURAL WOODEN FRAME

This method has been developed for rapid assembly at the construction site and high output volumes. Walls are assembled from a number of panels that are about 80cm wide, 30-40cm thick and reach from the floor to the ceiling. They consist of a wooden box/shelf frame and a Kenaf Lime filling. With panels, there is no waiting time needed before the next construction steps.

ECOBAULI TEACHES KENAF LIME

Because Georgia lacks professionals that are able to design, plan and construct with construction materials like ours, EcoBauli conducts workshops and trainings about Kenaf Lime design, planning and construction. These can be

  • educational and informative workshops with the intention to demonstrate the material and inform about the benefits of it or

  • professional trainings leading to an expert certification.

EcoBauli announces upcoming workshops and trainings on social media and on this website.
