PREMIUM BUILDINGS FROM NATURE

Ecological high performance construction materials

ECOBAULI MEETS YOUR DEMANDS

You choose.

Today, educated builders want to build with materials that are:

  • Modern & Affordable

  • Environmentally friendly (low CO2 footprint, less waste)

  • Reducing consumption of costly energy

  • As healthy as possible for inhabitants

  • Long-lasting

Conventional and petrochemical-based materials can’t satisfy such complex demands. This is why natural construction materials are gaining so much popularity. Materials made from Hemp or Kenaf and Lime are being called the “most modern way to build a home” or “superfood for the building industry”.

The EcoBauli Team has studied the advantages of Kenaf Lime for several years and has developed innovative ways of using it to satisfy various customer needs. Today, EcoBauli is the biggest producer of Kenaf in the region.

What EcoBauli offers is affordable and state-of-the-art. Our raw materials are locally sourced, which means our prices are less affected by exchange rates, shipping costs or supply-chain uncertainties.

On this website you will learn why EcoBauli's construction material and methods are unrivalled options on the Georgian market if you want a construction that is long-lasting and satisfies all demands of a modern builder.

KENAF?

The materials which Ecobauli is producing and constructing buildings with is called Kenaf Lime. It is a mixture of the dry, shredded core of the Kenaf plant (Hibiscus Cannabinus), hydrated lime (Calcium Hydroxide), certain pozzolanic minerals and water. Kenaf Lime can also be made with Hemp (Cannabis Ruderalis), then it is called Hemp Lime. In contrast to Hemp, Kenaf is legal to grow in all countries.

FEATURES OF ECOBAULI KENAF LIME

An unmet combination of features

Kenaf Lime can be considered the most modern construction material because on one hand it's made from natural, renewable resources and can be produced and used in almost any country while on the other hand it provides an unmet combination of features:

  • Regulates humidity automatically

  • Regulates temperature automatically

  • Airtight but breathable

  • Fireproof

  • High thermal insulation and thermal mass

  • Creates a seamless wall

  • Great acoustic insulation and absorption

  • Mold & pest resistant

  • Anti-bacterial & anti-fungal

  • Filters odors and toxins out of the air

  • Gets stronger over time

  • Maintenance free

  • 1t of harvested Kenaf absorbed >1,5t of CO2 from the atmosphere, Kenaf has the record and exceeds the CO2 sequestration of a dense forest on the same area by several times

  • 100% organic, natural, vegan, fair-traded and even CO2-negative material that produces no waste nor during production nor after its lifetime

Kenaf Lime is a natural, non-toxic material that is wonderful to work with. It can be produced locally, which strengthens regional economic development. Benefits of Kenaf for the environment and the economy are detailed on the page Georgian Kenaf industry.

EcoBauli is producing Kenaf raw material and produces construction materials with it. Kenaf fibers that we don't need we also sell to manufacturers of other products.

ECOBAULI CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS & METHODS

ingredients_edited_edited_edited.jpg

EcoBauli is producing Kenaf Lime using locally sourced ingredients (raw Kenaf, hydrated Lime, pozzolanic minerals and water). Kenaf Lime can be used to prefabricate blocks or wall panels for quick on-site assembly or casted into formworks at the construction site. Having a choice of the preferred method for a particular project allows a high degree of customisation and optimisation.

Construction methods offered by EcoBauli:

  • In-situ casting around an existing load-bearing construction

  • In-situ casting a wall that serves as formwork for concrete columns and ceiling belts as load-bearing construction

  • Pre-fabricated wall panels combining Kenaf Lime with a structural wooden frame

EcoBauli's products and services have been developed with international support and funding from the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA). The construction materials and construction methods are internationally recognized and certified.

EcoBauli uses regenerative Kenaf farming methods to build up the humus layer of the soil. This is a way of CO2 sequestration in soil. According to international observations, 4-6 tons of CO2 can be sequestered annually per hectare. We at EcoBauli hope the Georgian Government and UNDP will one day implement a framework for the assessment and certification of CO2 offsetting activities in Georgian regenerative agriculture so that Georgian farmers would be able to sell CO2 certificates globally.
